IGFA support the humanitarian needs of the people affected by the war in Ukraine

IGFA – International Graphic Fairtrade Association members have voted to use association funds to support the humanitarian needs of the people affected by the war in Ukraine

Members responded very quickly to the growing crisis in the hope that early aid will help people as soon as possible through the OTB Foundation (Only The Brave), an Italian charity working with UNHCR to support refugees.

Alberto Rui, Secretary said “I am so impressed with the speed at which our members responded to the call to help – following a very short WhatsApp message everyone responded and agreed to donate €12,000, half of which will be send to the OTB Foundation immediately. We plan to use the other €6,000 with other organisations.”

Rui went on to say, “our business is global, we work with every country on the planet – we hope for peace soon and our thoughts are with the people and our colleagues in Ukraine.”
