Description
The Ryobi 520's N+P equipment includes the numbering unit, cam, and creasing and perforating accessories. The official numbering and perforating unit for the Ryobi 520 series of offset presses (including the 520X, HX, HXX, HE, and GX models) is designated Ryobi NP52. This module allows for additional inline processing (such as printing tickets, receipts, invoices, or numbered forms) without interfering with the quality of the main offset print. This additional "inline" module allows for value-added jobs such as consecutive numbering, vertical/horizontal perforation, slitting, and creasing directly inline with the offset press.
Main Technical Features of the NP52 Unit
- Paper Size: The maximum sheet size when the NP unit is installed is reduced to 520 x 365 mm (compared to 520 x 375 mm). The minimum size is 257 x 182 mm.
- Paper Thickness: It handles media from 0.04 to 0.25 mm for numbering and up to 0.15 mm for perforation.
- Independent Impression Cylinder: The module uses an impression cylinder completely separate from the offset section. This prevents mechanical perforation and numbering operations from compromising the quality of the previous print.
- Dedicated Inking System: It is equipped with a group of 8 inking rollers that ensure a clean and consistent ink supply to the numbering machines and plates.
- Swing-Away Design (Excludable): When the job requires only standard offset printing, the NP unit can be removed from the main press in just a few minutes.
- Unlike competitors, it is the only device compatible with all Ryobi 520 presses, even those not factory-set (unlike Heidelberg).
